Sports Recognition
Congratulations to our Fall Sports teams for their domination this season! Our Field Hockey Team won CCS, the Football team plays in the CCS Semi-final on Friday @ St. Ignatius in San Francisco. Both girls and boys Water Polo did well in CCS and the boys are still playing in the state tournament (they play De La Salle tonight, good luck!) Girls Volleyball made it to the CCS Final and the NorCal tournament. Girls Tennis made it to the quarterfinals of CCS. Cross Country Girls got 3rd at CCS and qualified for state and the Boys team got 4th. Girls Golf had 6 players make league finals.
JUNIOR CLASS FUNDRAISER
There is a fundraiser for the junior class at Tea Fermata everyday this week except Friday. Make sure to show up and tell them you’re from LG to help fund our junior prom!
AI Across the Spectrum
This Thursday the LGHS Home and School Club is hosting a free presentation on the impact of A.I. on Career and Learning as part of their Career Pathways series. Hear directly from a leading AI expert on how artificial intelligence will transform every industry. Students, parents, and anyone interested is encouraged to attend this discussion on Thursday from 6 - 7 PM in the LGHS Auditorium (the theater).
Blood Drive
LGHS will be hosting a blood drive on December 1st! Save a life and receive a pint of ice cream for your donation. There will be tables to sign up on the front lawn tomorrow and Friday at lunch! You can also sign up through the parent square email and the leadership instagram.

Swing Night
Coming up in a couple weeks is a new event we are super excited for! On Saturday, December 2nd, from 5:30 to 8 pm, we are hosting an LGHS Swing Night - an evening of live music (provided by our very own Jazz Band) and swing dance lessons! There will be an instructor present, so no experience is necessary. This event is open to students, staff, families, and community members. Tickets are on sale for $15 on GoFan right now, and tickets will be sold for $20 at the door. All profit from this event helps to support the LGHS Music Program!
Staff Appreciation Lunch - Staff, make sure to come to the small gym on Thursday for the Staff Appreciation Lunch!

Unplugged Talent Show
Hey Wildcats, get ready because Unplugged is back! Unplugged is an acoustic talent show where all students have an opportunity to perform! Auditions are on Monday, September 23rd. Fill out this form to sign up and learn more. We can’t wait to see you all supporting your classmates in the theater on Thursday, September 26th at 6pm!
Slip’n’slide kickball
Our second annual slip and slide kickball game is coming up! Be there on October 4th from 5:30-7:00pm on the baseball field. We’ll kick things off with two small games featuring our sports teams. College & Career Center
We have ten exceptional universities visiting this week including Northwestern, Carnegie Mellon University, NYU, and USC. All visits take place in the college and career center. Look out for messages from Ms. Fiske on when these visits are taking place!

Club Day
Club day is almost here! If you are interested in creating your own LGHS Club, please scan the QR code from one of the flyers around campus. There is a mandatory meeting for all club officers on September 3rd in the Large Gym, with club day being on the 5th on the front lawn during tutorial. We hope to see you all there!
Kickoff Tailgate
Our first huge event is a new and exciting one! Taking place on September 6th is our Kick-off Tailgate and first football game, black out themed! The tailgate will be an event where the student section will meet anytime from 5 pm to 7 pm in the Cats Quad to get hyped and ready for the game. With delicious food trucks, photo booths, and free access to accessories like eye black, black beads, black bandanas, and airbrush tattoos, LG will definitely be decked out in spirit! We hope to see all of you there!
